A freight company you can trust

What is FreightInsure?

Per-shipment cover that pays from dollar one. No excess. No policy to manage.

FreightInsure is not a traditional insurance product you buy separately and manage yourself. It's cover you select inside your booking — before your freight moves. You choose the value to cover. We issue the policy. If there's a claim, you lodge it online. That's it.

No excess on covered claims.

No deductible comes off what you're paid. Settlement is based on the value of the goods, up to your limit of cover.

Cover up to $100,000 per consignment.

Enter the value of goods at booking and the premium is calculated on the spot. Limits, sub-limits and exclusions apply, see the PDS.

Default cover comes with enrolment.

$250 of cover on dispatch orders and $100 on fulfilment orders, automatically, on every eligible consignment.

How it works

Cover on every consignment. Sorted before your freight moves.

  1. Enrol through BPTFL

Speak to your BPTFL account manager to enrol. Once you're set up, $250 of cover applies to dispatch orders and $100 to fulfilment orders, automatically, on every eligible consignment.

  2. Book your shipment as normal.

Nothing changes in how you work with BPTFL. Your default cover is already attached when the order is created.

  3. Extend cover in the booking flow.

Bigger load, bigger number. Enter the value of the goods and extend cover up to $100,000 per consignment. The premium is calculated on the spot.

  4. Ship with confidence.

Your policy is issued as soon as the order is confirmed. If goods are lost or damaged in transit, lodge your claim online. No excess to pay on covered claims.

How it's different

Traditional marine insurance was built for shipping containers, not your business.

Most freight cover in the market was designed for high-volume importers and exporters moving containers across oceans. It carries excesses, annual policy requirements, and claims processes that take months. FreightInsure was built for businesses that ship domestically — and actually want their claim paid.

Traditional Marine Insurance

  • $1,000–$2,000+ excess. Most claims don't clear it.
  • Annual policy. Upfront premium whether you ship or not.
  • Designed for containers, not everyday freight.
  • Claims take weeks — and you chase them yourself.
FreightInsure
  • No excess. Eligibile claims paid from dollar one.
  • Per shipment. Only pay when you actually ship.
  • Built for the freight businesses actually send.
  • 5 business day target. Lodge online, we handle it.

You're already set up
